Since 2007 Nepal Schools Aid has developed from it's early beginnings as a "material aid donor" to a number of schools in Kathmandu, into being an Academy for teacher training for ANY teacher from ANY community or government school in the city. Supported by UK education experts and a wide range of UK donors we have created a teacher development programme which is based on our own researched framework of Quality Education and which delivers techniques and skills essential to the provision of child centred learning. Our programme is in three stages, Introduction, Foundation, Advanced, and can be attended by any teacher whose school registers with us to receive and implement child centred learning techniques. If you are in the UK we need support in our quest to influence Nepal's Ministry of Education to STOP exclusively building schools and to instead focus on developing the system of education in the schools they already have.
